I just got mine done today (a ball rather than a ring) and it didn't hurt at all. I also have a double piercing on my left nostril, and that hurt a lot more than this. When the needle goes through you feel the pressure of it then a sudden, quick sharp pain of the needle exiting. Not so bad.

How can you not love Bichons....they're so friendly and loveable. I have an eleven year old Bichon named Arthur (had him since I was 8; I'm 18 now) and he's the friendliest dog I've ever known. He's like a little old man now.
