About this user

Bass-baritone-tenor male vocalist looking for a band that needs a singer or other vocalist and wants to start playing shows. I also play electric and acoustic guitar, keyboard, electric bass and djembe. I enjoy DJ-ing, making and producing song mash-ups and blends. As far as music-making and listening tastes, I love literally all types of music, even ones that wouldn't ever be seen near each other in other people's music collections, like obscure turn-of-the-century era cylinder recordings sitting happily alongside modern alternative, and any new top 40 hits that I personally like. In general, I'm more into the song than the genre. I love to experiment, but I also don't believe in simply being innacessable and pretentious for its own sake. At the same time I really believe in the power and beauty of simplicity in music. I'm a student at UMass Lowell, studying voice with a major in Music Business. I'm a member of the University Choir as well as the secretary of the MEISA (Music and Entertainment Industry Students Association) chapter at UMass Lowell and recently attended the annual conference in Los Angeles, California in April 2011 to pursue networking opportunities and learn about the industry from professionals.
