Santiago brought their A game to Arcadia and showed why they will be marching in the 2013 Rose Parade. They just keep getting better with performances like this one.

West really polished this performance of Eagle Squadron over the season. The trumpets developed a lot of confidence and it showed. Nice work!

I was thinking "WTF?" I thought he was going to talk right over the band. He did look pretty stressed out though. Chino looked and sounded great and they are always terrific hosts. Huge praise to Dennis Rodda who has been putting this together for 41 years.

Arcadia is sounder better every week. Lots of little things have been cleaned up and polished since the King band review. They have a bigger, more lively sound and a beautiful blend. (Very nice French horns, BTW.) Nice work, Apaches!

You came a long way from your performance at Chino just 2 weeks before. The auxiliary was very energetic--better controlled without losing energy. The music was really good. Nice low brass and a big sound from one of my favorite smaller bands.

Well done for the DM! Not many highland-style DMs do the British/Scottish style mace. The band is sounding very good for early in the season--lots of potential here. Still miss Arturo Herrera, though.

Wow! Very snazzy performance and a hell of a drumlins. I thought Upland just did field tournaments. Wish I'd been there to hear it in person but Luis's videos are the next best thing.

I think 2011 is going to be a very good year for Arcadia. As in 2010, they're having a great start for this early in the season.

Thank you for dusting off this old relic. This was probably the best musical performance at Long Beach during my three years at AHS (80-82). Slightly older Apaches may recognize a former AHS drum major as he passes in front of the camera at street level.
