to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with mental disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, an the community.

through 19 year-round SPORTS, Special Olympics Missouri offers children and adults with mental disabilities training and competition divisioned by age and ability. We're more than sports, however; our program gives athletes the CONFIDENCE and skills to hold jobs, get better grades and earn respect.
