let me take you back to when i was... about 9, ok? 4 years ago.
so we were coming how from horsback riding, and a song came on the radio.. (pretty strange, huh?) now, this song happened to be 'This Man' (jeremy camp). At the time, i was 9. Not into music. AT ALL :) but i was like.. ok, thats a good song... cool. but i didnt care who sang it or anything. keep this in mind. :)

ok lets jump forward a year.. i am now 10. 3 years ago.
things have changed... my parents and are NOT tight.. at all.. we agree on absolutely nothing... we argue constantly (ok, someones gotta give em a hard time.. but this was over the top, okay? like.. erm.. ill not repeat it. hows that?) i was also kinda into music.. but not really.

a year later.. im 11. 2 years ago...
its only gotten worse. terrible... my diary was FULL of hateful words against my parents... i was ticked cause it seemed to me like thye wanted to just pretend that everything was okay, even tho they knew it wasnt. i thought they didnt care. I was acually the one pretending like everything was okay. THEN came the biggie. my parents announced that we were moving...and I DID NOT WANT TO!!!!! its amazing how something like that can totally blow you off track.. when youre already off.... something so small... so silly... so.. STUPID!

so we moved... and things went crazy... i cried had myself to sleep before.. but now.. it was every night... the feelings of lonliness, unwantedness, anger, hate, fear haunted me. i was letting Satan tell me i was worthless, stupid and good for nothing... i was so angry at myself and i just wanted to punish myself physically, so i started cutting... it provived a way for me to vent my anger, and to somehow 'punish' myself... and it also took my mind off of the mental torment and made me focus on the physical pain. (do you ever wonder why i rarely wear shorts? thats why...my legs are all cut up.)

so one day i was sitting at the computer... and God started to---

WHOAH! wait let me back up.. i said 'God' for the first time here... i never told you about my relationship with him at this point... for me, at this time, i was pretty much like. " God? Yeah, right. I'm not sure if he even exists anymore! And if he DOES.. he sure doesnt care about me!" now, obviously, i was wrong, but i couldnt see that at the time! I was going to church.. but... what does that have to do with it.. church cannot make you close to God.. or keep you with him.. although, it can sure help.

ok.. back to what i was saying.. :) So abouit a year ago God started running the chorus of the song i had heard 3 years before through my head!!! I had only heard it once. I was into music at the time... so i wanted to see who it was.. i looked it up.. came across Jeremy Camp.. heard Take You Back.. a few other songs.. and came back to God, to put it in short.

It's not perfect now, by any means at all. BUT, its so much better than it was. Soemtimes i think about the way i felt back then... angry, unwanted, hurt.... and all i know is i dont want to go back...

but the cool thing about this is... its like i have this burden for people who are going thru the same thing that i did.. becasue i know what they are feeling.. and i know how much they're hurting on the inside... it makes we want to go out and share that there IS hope, there IS healing, and those chains CAN be broken, freedom IS possible...

well...what about love? after all, that IS the thing that i struggle with on a daily basis... (totally different post...)

Love? yes, there IS such a thing, actually, and its found in Jesus Christ...
