I found this when digitising the tapes from a 2006 trip to Japan. I didn't even realise at the time that I had filmed it.

This video is NOT a joke. While it's not completely Gears of War 1 on Gears 3's engine, it's as close as we're ever going to get to see. It's an "old school", "hardcore", "gears 1", whatever you want to call it playlist.
If you play the playlist and love it, go on the Epic Forums and support the playlist in the threads that are about it. Or even make a thread about how you feel about the playlist, there really aren't a lot up right now. Here's a few; http://forums.epicgames.com/threads/8... http://forums.epicgames.com/threads/8..... http://forums.epicgames.com/threads/8...
The various Lancer clips in the video are in there to prove two things;
#1 - Downs that people would normally get due to stopping power don't happen. You have to be ACCURATE to be effective with the rifle on your own. You can't expect to miss 30% of your shots and still down someone.
#2 - This playlist doesn't "kill" rifles, like many "anti-gnasher" people would probably try to claim. As you can see in the video from some of the clips, the Lancer still works great; You just have to use teamwork to get the most out of it. In one of the clips for example, I have a teammate down and three enemies trying to push him, plus one lancerring him. Because I was hitting my shots, we still won that 2v3, largely in part because of the Lancer. The playlist still allows you to play "tactically" as some people would call it by sitting back with the Lancer. You just can't sit there by yourself and expect to rack up kills from people trying to move 10 feet from one piece of cover to another.

There are 51 films that are currently labeled as animated Disney movies, all of which are along the lines of magic. Riding on that flying carpet, adventuring Wonderland, and witnessing the reveal of the king's newborn cub will always be an unforgettable journey throughout cinema. If it was right on the big screen, on a classy VHS tape, or on a simple disc, the times we spent laughing, crying, and cheering for these mesmerizing characters will stay in our hearts forever. We all flew to Neverland. We all went under the sea. We all found the honey.
So 'heigh ho' you go into this video that celebrates not only the 51 movies that defined the century, but an achievement in cinema itself. I hope you enjoy this video as much as I did creating it. It was quite the challenge to track down all these films (some that sadly only make one appearance), but I did it, and I'm proud of the results.
