Walid Nowrouzi is a professional Tabla player living in the Netherlands.He is born in a traditional musicians and harmonium makers family in the old city of Kabul where he began his musical journey at a very young age under his fathers guidence and continued learning for several years. He has achieved Bachelors and Masters degree in music and is currently active in performing concerts, teaching students and giving workshops in Conservatories and music schools. He had the opportunity to learn from wonderful musicians like Tabla Maestro Ustad Faiyyaz Khan from Delhi, Ted de Jong,Pandit Debendra Chakraborty from Kolkata and attended master classes with great teachers like: Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, Pt. Buddha Dev Dasgupta, Pt.Ajoy Chakraborty.
