I attempted a YLOD fix with a heat gun and i used Arctic Silver 5, the dot/pea method...it was a success but, after 2 to 4 hours of usage, my PS3's fan starts blowing very hot air from the back and got noisy like a fucking leaf blower and even after quitting a game, it didn't slow down. The next day i went on, playing Assassin's Creed 2 and around 2 hours of game play that fucking piece of shit became paper weight again by giving me the prelude to the YLOD. Can anyone please give me advice/help of any kind?
