It would probably be better to ask the friendly guys over at the Yoyogames forum, especially if your using a pre-made engine. Boosting, and (especially) a ranking systems are things that are custom tailored to each individual engine since there are different variables for the game to go by. If I told you how I made mines it wouldn't work with your games engine.
