(Fleetway) Sonic The Comic Back in the 90s when Sonic the Hedgehog was taking off across the world, SEGA Europe made a deal with the comic company known as EGMONT Fleetway (Most famous for the 2000AD series). With this deal came the series know across the UK as STC (Sonic The Comic) which told the stories of Sonic and his gang of Freedom fighters fighting for freedom against Robotnik. The comic ran from 1993 to 2002 and was revived in 2003 under STC Online which is still making comic's to this day. In the comic's we see stories that take place across the entire Classic series (and Adventure) with stories on Sonic 3, Sonic 3D and Sonic Adventure being some that take place. Many things that differ the series to the Archie series are the inclusion of SUPER SONIC being an evil psychopath, AMY ROSE being a more rebel character who is actually worth caring about, JOHNNY LIGHTFOOT and PORKER LEWIS as Freedom Fighters, THE BROTHERHOOD OF METALLIX the Metal Sonic army and DR. OVI KINTOBOR the kind scientist who accidently one day transformed into DR. IVO ROBOTNIK. Since the series is now over 18 years old Im here to give everybody in the world the chance to read the stories of Sonic The Hedgehog in which many UK fans grew up with. Official Sonic The Hedgehog Yearbooks Before the introduction of Sonic The Comic, SEGA designed 2 Yearbooks which would be released on the December of each year. Both books contained short stories of Sonic and Tails fighting against Dr.Robotnik to save woodland creatures and to protect the environment. These books have very similar art style to some key artists in STC and have many references to not just the Classic Sonic games, but also 90s British culture.
