Songuine on YouTube offers you an introduction to music by Narelle that will cheer, encourage, and inspire you.

Narelle is passionate about music and about people. Mostly self-taught in voice, she believes it's important to be open about the path to success and the challenges we face in striving toward our goals.

To that end, the videos here include early concert programs and her first efforts at making music videos as well as the award-winning Musicnotes entry (I'll Be With You In Apple Blossom Time) and moving story of Roma's Message in a Bottle. As the tools and talents improve, the view can only get better!

We hope you enjoy what you hear and see on Songuine, and that you leave feeling inspired to face your challenges and climb your mountains with new strength.
About Me:

If you're familiar with Narelle's wide range of creative outlets, you may be surprised to learn that she's been seriously ill since she was 19. She remains hopeful that a solution to her health challenge will be found and thus greater freedom to pursue her dreams, and meanwhile stedfastly cultivates knowledge and skill in connecting with her audiences and communicating more effectively.

Zig Ziglar said, "Most people are wandering generalities. Successful people are meaningful specifics." Which type are you? Narelle invites you to join her in the quest to be the latter.

I'm pleased I've managed to send a video message to my subscribers without doing anything bizarre, such as suggesting you join YouTube as I somehow managed to do last time. =) Good practice for an upcoming video I'm very excited about!

I have been watching your Apple Blossom vid for months and I finally realized I haven't even subbed or friended you yet!! Weird!

Love your sweet voice :) Check out these books sometime dear:

Thanks very much for the comment, Narelle =)
Tenor I is the part I usually sing (which you can probably tell by listening to the bass tracks) but my full voice was a little bit blown out by christmas services and things =P
I love your soprano I video =D its amazingly clean, especially on the High Gs and Abs

About the part remembering, the truth is, I'm a bit of a Whitafreak, so I almost knew all of the parts by heart anyway =P remembering them was the easiest bit of the process =)

Also, if there was a way to reply to your own comment, instead of writing on your channel instead, I would've done =P I'm a tad new to having my own Youtube account =)
Hope the Cataclysm Tour went well, and that the group stays being brilliant =D

Thank you so much for your encouragement, Anastasia.
My mother and I arranged for a dear Catholic neighbour to attend one of the Cataclysm tour concerts. She's vision impaired but she came to visit me the next day to say she'd never heard music like it before and couldn't find the words to say how much it meant to her to be there. (I invited her to give me a hug instead. =) She'd bought the CD and had been playing it all day. Later that week she told us she wasn't going to play the radio anymore because it's so depressing. Instead she plays Cataclysm. Whenever someone comes to visit, she pokes the lyric book at them and gets them to follow along. You referred to the music as calming and hypnotic. She called it peaceful, full of hope. =) The reason for it is the songs are centred in Jesus Christ.
Buy the CD for yourself! Its on iTunes.
I'll email you about the other questions. =)

Narelle, just listened to some of this music! Your voice is unique and utterly beautiful. You sing wonderfully with that guy on the guitar, he is also very good...is there any possibility that you will tour outside of New Zealand? Your music has a calming and hypnotic effect...now I know why you selected the songs you did for our choir...lol

Music is not about what the performer can do. It's about how the listener feels.

The two videos listed under 'favourites' above, "Holy God" and "In Your Presence" from the Jules Riding channel, are the two tracks I sang on in the live album recording done in Auckland on 9 October. I hope you enjoy them!
