    @KT87Mae Where have you been? This band changed their name to The Guess Who in the early sixties, added Burton Cummings to the line-up, (Chad Allan quit to return to university to get a teaching degree) and they became the greatest Canadian band of all-time! Hundreds of hits!

    07-07-2010 The Guess Who play 'Laughing'

    This ain't the 'real' Guess Who!

    Only drummer (Gary Peterson) and bass player (Jim Kale) are Guess Who. The voice of the Guess Who is Burton Cummings and he and Randy Bachman (lead guitar) wrote this song.

    Shame!

    @TinyMontgomery204 (Cont'd from above....)

    Can you confirm the year of 1967 for these recordings? Burton joined the Guess Who/left the Deverons in early 1965 and Chad Allen left maybe 8 or 9 months later.

    Anyway, I do really thank you for posting these. The years slipped away and I was back ...

    Burton Cummings - You Saved My Soul

    "An Evening At The Improv" 1982.

    SomethingClevr SomethingClevr commented:

    Burton in this era! I could just take a bite out of that man!

    He's still got the voice. He's still got the looks. But that era Burton still "makes me cream my jeans" as Carole Pope would say. OY!

    Outstanding work on this tribute to an amazing Canadian legend. I am proud to call him friend and as far as I'm concerned, he deserves every accolade that comes his way. Burton Cummings - Break it to them gently

    Taken from the Bachman - Cummings DVD : First time around (2006)

    SomethingClevr SomethingClevr commented:

    It was a specially built set in a CBC studio in Toronto. Not a jail. Not a venue you can buy tickets to. PBS runs the special once a year and I'm pretty sure it's available on DVD.
