About Me:
My name is John Somers, Leader of the 18 piece Somers Dream Orchestra and professional trumpet player.
I've been playing the trumpet since age 9 and never looked at it as work. It's something I love and consider myself blessed to have had this wonderful opportunity. My trumpet and I have virtually traveled around the World together. To think music can take someone away from all their problems if only for a moment or touch someone in a way that stirs a whirlwind of emotion is amazing and something I'm proud to be a part of.
I also love to DREAM...hence the Somers DREAM Orchestra was born in 1995 after a dream to create a Big Band loaded with musicians who all love music as much as I do. They all had to have outstanding personalities and love music!
Here it is16 years later and it's been the most incredible experience to share the stage with such talented wonderful musicians as the Somers Dream Orchestra!
Yes I'm blessed to be a musician and wouldn't have it anyother way.
