You're welcome! I think it might depend, but I've never seen the venue empty. All of the shows I've been to have been more crowded because the bands were popular, but because it's right next to the university, I think people are there all the time. By the way, I was the person who asked about San Diego on your site, before I read the tour dates. Don't hate me. :c

I've heard the Park Gallery is good for indie bands, but I've never been. Soma is a decent venue; they get a lot of hardcore bands, but softer bands like Tegan and Sara and Vampire Weekend have played there, so I imagine they would be kind. But I definitely think you should consider the Che Cafe in La Jolla. It's a cool little venue flocked by nice college kids. :) It's my favorite.
