In short, if I had a choice I'd rather be a rodent fed to a tegu, than a cow fed to a human. This vid is in slow motion. That entire encounter probably took less than 30 seconds and the rat's neck was broken.

Actually they do. It doesn't look the same, some stay black and look like rubber. But the main threat is that in an older iguana, the process is slower and the chance of infection increases tenfold.
