Smokey began when Jim met Mitch in the 4th grade, back in '06. Mitch and Jim were inspired by smosh to make movies. They originally did home videos on a tape recorder, until 2009. But they continued entertaining friends and family with thier home movies. In 2007 Jim met Kurt (Who became the 3rd member of Smokey) They kept making home videos for 2 more years until Jim got facebook and uploaded the "SEX ED ROCKS!" video to his profile. He didn't think he'd get any comments! But it turned out that the video was a huge hit! Jim, Mitch and Kurt decided to start a Youtube channel in early 2010. By December that year Jim got a deal to make a movie with a movie making company "Animaction" He worked in a huge movie called "The Last Assassin" while filming that movie he asked Jakob if he wanted to join Smokey! Jakob agreed and became the 4th and final member!
