HDR is quite balanced, just some of the lowest tiers are terrible. In fact, Zangief won the latest EVO tourney but there were many Ryu's there (a good matchup for 'Gief). Anyway, the character you use in ST is probably better in HDR (unless you use Vega like me, and even then he's still one of the best). Cheers.

I couldn't find your comment so I'll reply here. HDR is a more balanced version of ST, though the lowest characters are still bad. Cammy, for example, is still the worst character despite her buffs. I made the comparison because ST and HDR have much more common with one-another than with IV, which I think has the worst engine ever for a fighting game. Too much random crap and nonsense mashing. Cheers friend.
