It's not a playback, but they used Melodyne pitch correction on it. They usually don't use pitch correction on their actual live performances other than DVD releases, but AOL probably forced them to have everything edited so everything on their channel sounds 'professional'.

As a fan of Linkin Park since Hybrid Theory, I really don't see the different between that album and A Thousand Suns. They both have electronic elements... Minutes to Midnight was lame though, I agree.
