About this user

I have been involved in The Health and Fitness Industry for over 20 years. During this time I have held numerous positions. After 6 years of service as a Royal Marines Commando. I spent a couple of years travelling abroad. On returning to the UK I worked as a Gym Instructor and Lifestyle Consultant before completed a Degree in Leisure Management.

I followed what seemed the natural progression at the time and moved into Health Club Management, finally specialising in Sales and Sales Management within the Leisure sector.

I have always had an active interest in sports and training and maintained my personal fitness. Although over the past couple of years due to family and work commitments I found myself devoting less and less time to my own personal workouts. In May 2007, aged 41, I found myself in the worst physical shape of my life. I decided to get my act together and seriously kick start my own fitness regime. My goal was to get into the best possible physical condition.

I began to research and study the latest information available on Bodyweight and High Intensity Training. I read articles, subscribed to bloggs and watched videos from numerous experts.

It was during this learning process that the idea for what is know today as the SLINGGYM came. Watch out for new video to be posted in next couple of days to see the whole process from concept to completion. This process took 16 months of frustration and hard work with a couple of major setbacks along the way. However, it has been worth all the sweat and tears as the fedback we are getting from Athletes, Trainers, Coaches Physios and the General Public is absolutely incredible.
