It didn't have anything to do with Muslims being offended, it had to do with Nintendo scared about putting religious references in their games once they make it state side. Japan is completely fine with referencing religion in games, however in the U.S. they feel its safer just to avoid it. This was true even in the original NES Zelda, where the cross on links shield was edited out of the game manual.

She's not a "bitch" and that's a pretty shitty thing to say. She quit her job doing data entry to participate in this competition, and knew that her future in part depended on this. Some of the other artists have incomes already, she probably doesn't have much of one. She is playing the game to the best of her ability, and I think in this episode the stress and anxiety just hit her like a truck.

I agree, I think he is basing too much of his critiques and predictions lately on just his own personal tastes instead of looking beyond to the broader market. I personally only buy 1-2 games a year, and when I do I make sure I get my money's worth, usually comprised of a deep and long campaign. (Skyrim, Oblivion, Zelda games, Fallout, etc.) I know that not everyone is like me, but I understand if these games continue to be made, than there must be a market for them.
