Are both radios wired to the same speaker with a switch? That would be a more accurate comparison. A quality speaker is not to be found on the internal ones that come with these radios. They're junk. I hate to say this, but I think that VFO isnt working. Listen to some of the stations while he moves this VFO in dramatic fashion. The voices stay the same on the receiver, if it does move, it barely changes frequency at all.
