Carly & Reno

I'm a 21 year old musician, artist, and animal enthusiast. I have been riding horses for over a decade and have wanted my own horse for far longer than that.


Reno is a 3 year old bay Thoroughbred gelding by State City, out of Lite the Cake. His pedigree includes horses such as Mr. Prospector, Princequillo, and Man O' War.

During his racing days he earned $7,474 and although he didn't win any of his five races, he came in third a handful of times. He was retired due to being "too slow" for the racetrack (as well as a bowed tendon) and became a rescue horse.

I found Reno at www.goodhorse.org on their "Looking for a Home" page and immediately fell in love with him. Somehow, I managed to make everything work out and adopted him officially as my Christmas present for 2011.
