National Weekly TV Program Proposal
Skip films are producing a new national weekly TV show. This program will feature men and their sheds. There are four segments to each ½ hour program as explained in detail below. We have applied for funding from Screen Australia and now approach the corporate sector for additional funding, by the way of product placement and/or sponsorship.
We have an association with a new magazine that will hit the news-stands soon. This magazine will also feature stories from our show, and moving forward the TV show will run competitions that will also be featured in the magazine. The editorials will all be associated with everything to do with men, such as tools, big boy's toys, etc.
To ensure the long term viability and success of the concept we have brought into the production two of Australia's most experienced Writer/ Producer/Directors. They understand completely the level of professionalism required to meet worldwide broadcast standards.
Summary
We are confident that the program would have strong appeal to advertisers in the male demographic. We also see strong opportunities for branding and licensing of ancillary products. The revenue potential is on the large scale.
We are currently looking at a national TV network (free to air) to run the programs first 13 episodes later this year. More people still spend more time with television than with any other media. Television is in 99.7% of Australian homes and is an integral part of our culture and society.
The Men and Their Sheds program will target and attract males from 25 to 80. We also expect that females will tune in to the program as we will often have males with strong female appeal.
