@jimsty19889507 and I didn't mention PPG because my original point was that, while Crosby had a higher GPG this year (and a higher PPG overall), he's almost never had a higher GPG in the past. This does NOT mean I think Ovechkin is better player because he just scores more, I was just clarifying...

@Sinco1967 Did you copy/paste a Wikipedia page or something? Reciting somebody's numbers when they were a kid isn't the way to prove their NHL prowess currently (which admittedly was very impressive before he was injured), especially playoff prowess.

I'm not a particularly huge fan of either team, but I enjoy watching their stars shine. Boy was this game a great one, I still remember it.

When Ovechkin plays well, he is the best offensive player in the NHL. Hes so unbelievably fast and strong. Not to mention his shot is outstanding.

It seems like he's just not playing with the same energy right now. That, and his shot/goal percentage is way down.

Oh well, slumps happen. I'm not even a Caps fan, but I love watching this guy. Especially when Datsyuk is hurt, and the wings aren't nearly as fun to watch.

@argo987 Blackhawks are a huge growing franchise. And I assume you left out the two obvious players who score more than Toews because they do get enough coverage.
