The only half-way effective scene in Part III (and I literally mean this 11 seconds), but even the score is wrong somehow. It's more reminiscent of elevator music.

@skudddeathtrip Absolutely! I see my comment looks like I meant he was a newcomer. I meant to say he's no amateur, and knows how to compose a song, so when he includes something that (IMHO) really doesn't work in a song, I'm confused by it. But that's his call and he's got tons of talent I'll ...

Loved Quisp when I was a kid. Sometimes my breakfast would be a bowl of Quisp with chocolate syrup poured over it, no milk.

Whoever came up with this video concept needs to be a screenwriter. Every character in this little 4 minute vid has personality. Totally interesting.

Not passing judgment here, but the excessive course language in your commentary keeps this vid from getting more mainstream exposure. That said, you sound like a cool guy and I appreciate the upload.

How do you film Home at Last live and show everybody but the drummer (until the end)? The drum beat is integral to this song.

It's in 3/4 time. That's a waltz tempo. You don't see a lot of rock songs in that beat. Pulled off perfectly here, of course. Great opening track.

@tubednhooked It's a keyboard heavy song. I think he wanted the crowd to see his fingerwork.

Poor Chris Isaak. Aside from having great talent, being cool, friendly, and humble, good-looking, clever and funny, he really has very little to offer.

@separateunion I should have clarified; I don't mean cheerful as in 'hooray for everybody!' I meant 'cheerful' as opposed to 'moribund and melancholy.' As in this version, so many vocalists sing like they came out of the womb decked in emo gear and have only gotten more and more depressed since...

@NeuralNetProcessor That's a good point. I'm 44 and I'm usually way too sleepy to bathe, let alone grab guns out of bags and stuff.

It is physically *impossible* to listen to this song and not 'air drum' those first 2 beats on the snare in the crossover.

Lou Graham, who has a great voice, also has a habit of absolutely *butchering* live vocals. He reigns it in a little here, but in many songs he diverges so far from the original--holding words longer, singing different notes, skipping words, etc.--that it's hard to get *into* the song in concert...

I've always liked this version, but seeing the video, I'm convinced it was heavily tweaked in the studio. It almost looks like ADR.
