The irish pronunciation of /θ/ as in the beginning of "three" as [t̪] like he does it is actually quite common. It occurs in Irish English along with Newfoundland English and New York English. Nothing to be embarrassed about or to "correct".

Well, I looked it up provisionally in Wikipedia, and it says that some of the traditions and individual sources were put together as early as 1000 BC, but mainly, as you said, during the captivity around the 6th century BC. Of course I'm not defending the caller's cause, as th...

The experiment you stated about the psychological explanation for belief in astrology is originally by Bertram Forer (not "Randy", or what it was you said) and known as the "Forer Effect". It's a type of cognitive bias, check it on Wikipedia.

Well, as I said, both are possible, but the way the girls said it is far more common, in fact I think the boy tried to overstress the "er" so he pronounced the "e" distincly. Pronouce it like the girls and you'll be on the safe side ;-)

Good question... My only guess is that Coelus/Caelus wasn't a well-known enough roman god at the time Wilhelm Herschel discovered the planet. All the other planets up to Saturn of course were translated by actual latin speaking people as they were known since antiquity.
