I Love playing my jazz flutes/saxophones and teaching the ubiquitous art, and science of the language we call jazz.. I studied private lessons under U.C.L.A. Graduate w/Masters Degree, Mr.Charles Haynes, who's thesis "The Joy of Improvisation" the spring class of 1979, the most unambiguous, comprehensible method of jazz instruction and technique, unequivocal, to any jazz improvise course that I've ever compared it to. Enabling one to improve with spontaneous reaction, or counter action, almost without thought, drawn from sets of extensive, and extensions of exercises, woven together, progressions and turn a rounds, a fabric of space and time that leads into infinity. I find myself, while improvising, listening, along with the audience, at times, creating riffs that are just as new to me, as the improve is to the audience, in flawless harmony. You turn a jazz radio station on, listen for the key, /changes and patterns etc. and join in on the song, you may have never herd before, and blend in, as if you co-wrote the composition, and the only thing I love more than doing that,, is sharing these techniques with fellow musicians seriously interested in playing like some of the samples I've put out there. I remember the frustrations/books /classes with more talk than technique/how much it meant to me to finally learn the truth of improvisation..I also intend to instruct note for note in real time in very slow motion some of the songs you may have herd me play, so as to help build a better understanding, and a beautiful repertoire..So hit me up,show me what you're working with, from Rampal to Parker..
