Hello! I feel like there's so much to say. I go by Alex, and basically the reason I have this profile is because my dream has always been to become a professional singer/songwriter. This is a great outlet for getting myself out there while I'm busy with life. Not only do I sing, but I play piano, guitar, write music, and I am a dancer. I thought it would be fun to get some of my dances on here, but I was advised by a reliable source not to do so, because that could get awkward, and some people might get the wrong idea...

I love all types of music. Some of my favorites off the top of my head are The Beatles, Aerosmith, Fleetwood Mac, Sheryl Crow, Mariah Carey (pre-breakdown), Eric Clapton, Fiona Apple, Jewel, Boys II Men, Heart, Marié Digby, Eva Cassidy, Aretha Franklin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Janis Joplin... oh, how the list continues. I can also definitely appreciate classical music, jazz, opera, musical theatre, and what have you, simply because I've had to dabble in every sort at some point.

I thought it would be fun to list some random facts about myself in bullet form so that I don't feel compelled to write a novel about my life's adventures. Here goes!
-I'm a lead singer in a band called Shine A Light, so look out for us!
-I am a co-host on the local Cincinnati TV show called, "Cincy Entertainment" (check us out on IMDb.com!)
- I was my senior class Valedictorian (highest GPA all four years, thank you very much)
- I'm originally from Toledo, OH, and apparently I have a "northern" accent...I can turn it on and off.
-I want to live in NYC (who doesn't), and I thought my dreams were coming true when I was offered a full-ride scholarship to Elmira College in New York, but I had to turn it down because the town wasn't for me.
- I played varsity tennis in high school, so I still like to work out everyday.
- When at an amusement park with friends, I become two years old again.
- I am attending Miami University of Oxford, OH with a double major in Theatre and Mass Communications, and I am also an Honors student.
- I know just about everything there is to know about Audrey Hepburn. I even wrote a song about her.
- My dad had a rock band back in the day, and he actually got to open for Alice Cooper on tour! Music runs in the family... my brother is a virtual Mozart, and my aunt was a dance instructor (and a fashion designer, which doesn't have anything to do with music but it's still awesome).
- My cousin invented the ipod, and ironically enough, I am one of the last people on the planet to get one for myself.
- My other cousin dated Katie Holmes.
- I was voted "best pesonality," "most famous," and "most intelligent" girl of my senior class, so wooohooo! I have friends!
-I was named "Miamisburg's Teen Idol"...yeah
- Police work runs in the family, and I secretly want to be a female cop, but I don't like blood, broken glass, or nonsensical drunks, so it probably wouldn't work out.
- The laptop makes my eyes look brown, but they are GREEN, thank you very much.
- I would love to put some of my own original songs on here, but I am paranoid about them getting "stolen," if you know what I mean. I have a "poor man copy" on one, so as soon as I get the others taken care of, I might just get brave.
- I have a lot of random recordings of myself from over the years and I would like to share those on here, but that could get weird without the visual aid.
- There is a straight-hair trend happening in my current videos, but I actually have naturally curly hair. It used to get obnoxious, but it has toned down over the years.
