About Simply Sewing Instructional Videos
A small collection of intro to sewing videos I've made. These started as an experiment - I'm a sewing teacher and I wanted some way for students who had to miss a class to keep up with everyone else so I began creating these videos. I really enjoyed making them but my equipment just made the process too difficult so I've put it on hold for the moment. What you're not seeing is that, for all of the videos where I'm sewing, I'm using another sewing machine as the tripod meaning I've having to reach around one machine to work on the other. And, due to angles, I was using the view screen of my little camera to see what I was doing. Not very safe. So, until I get a small tripod or decent medical insurance, I've put the videos on hold. However next fall (2009) I hope to resume filming and posting. Until then, please enjoy these little lessons!

I'm a grad student, sewing teacher, and part-time designer and owner of Cherry Lime Designs at cherrylime.etsy.com. Next year I'll be taking a sabatical from studies and hopefully then I can make many more videos along with instructional patterns to help sewing newbies become sewing pros. So fingers crossed on getting all that done! For now I hope you enjoy these little micro-lessons and may they help you get started in sewing.
