Bless you. I suggest you go back and re research for your dozen books. If you're old enough to be my father you must be around 70 so I'm surprised the you don't know then that Richard was recording R&B for RCA Victor in 1951. By 1955 Richard was recording Rock and Roll at Specialty having left Peacock two years previously in 1953 where he recorded only R&B. He didn't record any Gospel at either RCA or Peacock. I'm surprised at your level of ill mannered ignorance in the subject. Esquerita were friends I like both artists and have written myself about Esquerita his music and the influence the two men had on each other.

He dumdo...I am old enough to be your father and wrote more than a dozen books on this subject, mail me the titles of the books you wrote before having an opinion on Esquerita! Esqew was the originator, the master of this type of music, you ought to be ashame of yourself to be so ignorant, not knowing he played this type of music already in 1955 when that Pennimanclown was singin' only Gospel at Peacock.
