Unfortunately, music has to keep evolving. The superiority you accord to 60s and 70s music is completely unnecessary! Kanye West's popularity or Taylor Swift's popularity does not demean the absolutely amazing classics produced during those decades. They can still be "good music" ...

There's nothing wrong with liking hip-hop and Bruce Springsteen at the same time. I don't mean to unload on you, but I'm getting a bit tired of all the "Today's music sucks! Bieber/Gaga killed music! This music rules!" on every single hit from the 70s to the 90s. You can enjoy today...

I still prefer Mercedes' rendition - it was smoother and stronger, although I don't know how much the show's autotuning process did. Charice's version was rougher and a good bit more nasally, (I LOVED that little laugh, though! :D) but she still did an amazing job. :)
