The name's Silverfire and I've been a long time resident of YouTube. American-Cypriot expat living in Europe I've been exposed to more than my fair share's worth of foreign cultures and in the process have learned that toleration and adaptation far outshine national pride and can only elevate one's status in society. As well as being a great lover of sports and academia, I have strong political convictions that I have no qualms about divulging on YouTube.

Here is what I stand for:

RESPECT for Democracy and the unalienable right of the people ot rule.

TOLERANCE of all Cultures, regardless of race, gender, nationality, religious conviction or other.

WOMEN's RIGHTS: until this world gives women CHOICE over their bodies, careers, beliefs and futures, until we respect women and respect decisions affecting their lives entirely, the feminist movement can never be called complete.

FREEDOM as the most basic of human rights, that includes personal as well as societal freedom and, to a certain extent privacy.

"Give me Liberty or Give me Death" is what I live by.

INDEPENDENCE and those who fight or have fought for it, in Cyprus, America and all over the world. I DO NOT BELIEVE IN ENOSIS or any other ridiculous dream that has failed and is destined to fail again. NOR DO I BELIEVE IN THE SO CALLED "TURKISH REPUBLIC OF NORTHERN CYPRUS"--invasion is no excuse for protection.

PATRIOTISM as genuine expression of love for one's hometown, one's state and one's country.

And this is what I despise and shall stand against so God help me:

FASCISM and the evil it has wrought in this century, not just politically but socially. Fascism is the killer of democracy, of personal freedom and of human dignity. It should not be tolerated in any way shape or form, and it's failure and crimes against humanity must never be forgotten.

All those who pride themselves in their fascist values, just be sure, that you shall follow your leader, the Great Hitler himself along His path towards self destruction.

HARD LINE COMMUNISM; this century has seen Marx's dream spread to virtually every corner of the globe, applied itself to a wide variety of cultures and societies and in a great deal of masked forms. Communism is a plausible idea, however, completely unsuitable for human society at this stage in its evolution. Communism has failed, miserably and is sure to fail again, and the evidence for this can be found in our recent past.

RACISM and ETHNIC HATRED: there is no excuse for tolerating or inciting racism, no scientific, religious or other evidence that substantially proves the superiority of one race above another. All human being's were created, or evolved, or whatever, EQUALLY and those who seek to undermine this are only proving their own inferiority. Say NO to racism.

RELIGIOUS EXTREMISM, Christian, Muslim or otherwise. Everyone has a right to believe what they want; you do not have a right, however, to shove your beliefs down the throats of others. Humility in the face of God or Allah proves dedication to one's faith much more so than inciting fear.

HAVE ANY POLITICAL BELIEFS/CONVICTIONS CONTRARY TO MY OWN? Frankly, I don't care to hear them! Go post your opinions on your own page and we'll all be happy.

Finally, got anything to say against either the Republic of Cyprus or the United States? Questions and arguments are welcome, flamers are NOT, so if you make comments like "FUCK USA", "ELLADA-KUPROS-ENOSIS", "TRNC FOREVER; CYPRUS IS TURKISH" you are not intimidating me in the least, nor are you apt to change my opinion. Flamers are nothing but nuisances and will be quietly escorted off of my profile.
