This is an original which I put together back in May 2009. It came about as a result of a dream, thus the title. I was having one of those really vivid dreams one night that I was playing a riff to a light jazz song (a genre I am not real familiar with) and I woke up right after the dream. The riff sounded so cool in my head that I had to try to play it and so before I lost the riff and the feel I was experiencing I got right out of bed at about 3:30 am and grabbed my guitar and started recording it while it was still fresh. I came back to it at the end of the day and assembled a demo which I immediately sent to Tim for his opinion and he immediately jumped on board with it. This was a genre which was also a bit foreign to Tim as well, but he did a fantastic job finding the groove with his drums and bongos.

Undoubtedly a song like this needs a sax. I contacted my friend, Davi Wilson, and sent him a copy of my demo with the request that he see if he could come up with a nice track for us. Davi came through like gang-busters with a really nice track which, to me, makes the song. He also contributed a really nice acoustic guitar bit playing a nice jazzy rhythm.

I hadn't really considered making a video with this, but since Davi included some video clips of himself as he laid down his track, I decided to build a feature video which highlights his playing. Big thanks and a really HUGE "atta boy" for Davi! (less info)
