I think Trump kept David on because he's good for TV. No other reason. As bad as James was, what David did was inexcusable.

I thought Trump said he doesn't like quitters. On this task, David was a big-time quitter. He deserved to be fired more than James did.

"The Living Daylights" wasn't a bad 007 flick at all. One of the better ones, actually. A bit more realistic than some of the ones with evil rich guys who have their own spaceships and submarines and shit.
