Side by Side International exists to bring God's love to the impoverished and oppressed people by donating and erecting buildings, primarily in the Third World. These buildings are used for schools, orphanages, community centers, churches and medical clinics.

Our first project was in 1998 for a Mayan Community in Guatemala. Since then we have donated 42 buildings in Guatemala, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Sri Lanka and Greensburg Kansas USA.

Although the buildings offer a much needed gift to the community, the greatest gift is one that is mutually shared as the project opens the doorway into relationship with a people with which we would otherwise have no possibility of connection.

It is not our desire to build for the people, rather with them side by side. At their root the projects are an avenue of opening wide the world of the spiritual, as relationships lead to an experience with God, Who is the author of all meaningful relational experiences.
