The problem with work is that during work, you must make molehills out of mountains. No matter how great the task, you must make it simple and get it done fast.

In your real life's work, you have to make Mountains out of Molehills; You have to give the salad another vegetable for better color; take your girl out to a fancy restaurant for a date; as an artist, give that flower an extra curve that it doesn't need, just to make it prettier.

The two shades of yourself meet in between schedules, battling ferociously with liquor, drugs, and sexual tension.


Art is like Sanity; There isn't a concrete definition for either; the only time we can get a concrete answer is when it is obviously wrong; an instruction manual is not art; a serial killer is not sane. But most of life will not involve such extreme situations.
