Soaking is good for alot of reptiles, but this species lives out in the desert, so i'd keep the water pretty shallow so they could rest if they get tired out.

Don't do it too often though. My guy 9Siafu) doesn't enjoy it too much, so I resrict it to shedding time, but yours could be diff...

Some times it's good to bath them, but deffinately agree with what you're saying (a climb rock, etc).

I does seem quite cruel in such deep water, it's like putting a seal in a forrest.

Aslong as it's shallow (as you said), it's fine.
