@xXGzack123Xx Just checked the thread; I couldn't see a GTX 550 anywhere, but there are a few GTX cards on the "working" list and a few on the "non-working" list, both sides including cards in the 4x0 range. It seems like a bit of a crap shoot to me.

The Mobility Radeon HD 4500 is listed as working fine, but the (desktop, I guess) Radeon HD 3200 is listed as "working, but unplayable", with "low fps, blurry ground, no models" and occasionally crashing when switching from level-editor mode to playable mode. @Gemm6905 Thanks! I recorded this on OS X 10.6.6 running on a Hackintosh with a 1.6 GHz C2D, 2.5 GB RAM, and a GeForce 9500 GT with 1 GB of VRAM (got the card for $75 or so on Newegg). If your laptop uses integrated graphics hardware (i.e. Intel GMA 950), it'll likely have a hard time running Ove...

@lpasepok Overgrowth's terrains are generated from heightmap images, and the engine also does some optimization to the resulting geometry. They've posted about it (a while back) on the Wolfire blog.

@ryanjohnsond The engine itself, called Phoenix, is still in development by Wolfire especially for Overgrowth. They're doing their own from scratch, which (as much as I like things like Unity) I think is kind of refreshing these days.

@Trekfreek Your comment wasn't that they forgot to change "USS" to "ISS", but that they should've replaced the "NCC" in the mirror Enterprise's call letters, so I seem to've read your post correctly. Anyway, there only seems to be one shot of the mirror Enterprise which shows the top of the sauce...

@Trekfreek "ISS" (Imperial Space Ship) took the place of "USS" (United Space Ship) in the names of mirror universe ships, not the "NCC" portion which is merely part of the ship's registration number.
