Though I agree it was a bit strange that no one gave *anything*. They'd have gained more rethorical points by giving a little, say they'd give they rest once their proposition passes through.

They believe that systematical taxation is the way to actually make themselves and other people give/pay, they lead by example by promoting that and thus they believe in what they're doing.

This video, which was meant as libertarian propaganda, ironically enough just proves that taxation is more trustable than individual charity.

Also, you get supported by people who earn less since they help you pay for your police, military, government and judicial system. If you're against people supporting each other you should be against sponsoring those institutions too.
