The videos I've saved does not really reflect my own views. At one point it did, and I thought they were going to be onto something, but now as time went on, I got sick and couldn't believe some of the people's views I've sided with, and it was just a hunch that the more I knew from the other side of the spectrum, the more less these conservatives seem to know. I have kept the videos kept still strictly just for "informational" purposes and for some laughter to show how silly conservative people are.
It's also cause of laziness and lack of retention to lookup those videos again whenever I want to show conservatives/libertarians who their average representatives are.
Their lack of knowledge will against them, as they gloss over many issues and think they have answers to everything. Not to mention extremely outdated and intentionally racist views they hold out of social darwinism and the other older incoherent religious audience they've catered to. The ones that think they're acts are justified through a certain book, many of which can't be applied well in today's modern society. Why they choose to have gay guys like Bjorn Lomborg represent their counter-arguments is confusing to me but not condemn him for his anti-biblical sexual orientation.
Besides politics and religion though, I like to learn about a lot of other things, and I try to read a lot to get different frameworks and approaches in learning about the world. So as to not make myself sound like I'm some pseudo-intellectual. At least I try, whenever I'm not "busy" doing something else.
That being play one of my favorite past times; videogames and if I can, write my opinions about them; in either editorial or programming form. Yes, this can lead to a boring and nerdy life and cannot compromise sacrificing your time over. But of course it shouldn't have priority over more important things.
