Oh and if XIII's battle system is button mashing, then so is the rest of the series. I'm sorry but there's not one paradigm in the game that allows you to go through the whole game pressing X, you'll have to change paradigms at least once and boom, you just used L1 and the Dpad.

Agreed. This game is pretty horrible. The characters are flat, the gameplay is incredibly easy and the story is dull and boring. The only good thing from this game was the music, but even that pales in comparison to the rest of the series.
