Hola gente! Mi nombre es Joana. Naci en URUGUAY, un pais heeeeeermoso en Sudamerica, y soy enfermera.
My name is Joana Rodriguez, and i am a nurse. I was born in a beautiful South American country called URUGUAY, and I was raised in Southern California. I sing to relieve stress and have fun. It makes me feel good. Money, record deals, fame..none of that interests me. I've performed in high school and college productions, but nothing big yet.

There was always something comforting to me as a little girl that I could pretend to be a completely different person in a far away land. It's a coping mechanism, I guess.

UPDATE 12/16/2010!! I JUST GRADUATED FROM NURSING SCHOOL!
Some facts...
_My real name is spelled Joana, but it's pronounced SHo-ana in Uruguayan Spanish.
- I love acting. It gives me a chance to escape my life and be anyone else but me.
_I'm 5'10.
-I was born in Montevideo.
_I'm South American, but specifically a mix of Portuguese, Spanish, French Basque, Polish, and Sicilian.
_Horror is my favorite movie genre.
-Favorite shows :Desperate Housewives, The Office, That 70's show, House.
_Favorite movies: Monster, Cold Mountain, He's Just Not That Into You, Dangerous Minds, Scream.
_I'm open-minded& I try not to be judgemental..but I do judge sometimes. I'm only human :/
-I have a fear of flying because I often see myself in in a crashing plane in my dreams.
_I have nightmares about the end of the world at least 3x a week..bizarre.
-I've always excelled in school & I WAS VALEDICTORIAN IN NURSING SCHOOL!
_I love the beach..the sun...the summertime..
-But I also love the rain in the right moment.
-I love jazz. True music never loses its appeal.
_I only go jogging at nite.
-I'm quiet&reserved when I'm not performing. I keep to myself.
*THE 2 PRIORITIES IN MY LIFE- FAMILY AND MY HEAVENLY FATHER.
