About Me:
ShiGGa Shay's journey into the world of Hip-Hop and Rap started at the tender age of 9. His early influences include Eminem, Tupac Shakur, Jay-Z and The Notorious B.I.G. By age 10, he was already exploring and experimenting with poetry in his Rap repertoire, counting on his youthful exuberance and adventurous spirit.
After battling and winning over fellow rappers by the time he reached 12, ShiGGa Shay found the drive to make a name for himself in the local music industry.
He has since been performing at club showcases and makes the best of whatever opportunity he receives. His live sets abound with energy and along with amazing stage presence, he is able to hype up the crowd to rap along with him, word for word.
ShiGGa Shay has collaborated with MTV Asia Awards nominated band Electrico and Singaporean acapella group Budak Pantai.
In the early months of 2010, ShiGGa Shay wrote and recorded his debut mixtape, "ShiGGa Shay's in the Building!" entirely in his bedroom. The mixtape was released online in July, causing huge waves on the internet.
With the success of his mixtape, he performed at the prestigious National Day Parade 2010 on live Television with a song in which he wrote and co-produced with Sydney Tan & Don Richmond.
ShiGGa Shay has been featured on the world's #1 most popular Hip-Hop site, "WorldStarHipHop", labelled as "Unsigned Talent of the Week" for his video "On My Grind". The video received more than 100,000 views.
Not only has he rocked the stage at Live 'n' Loaded, he has performed in other prestigious clubs such as Zouk and rocked stages at the Marina Barrage. Having already achieved considerable recognition in the competitive music industry at such an young age, ShiGGa Shay is certainly one artiste to keep a lookout for.
