I think they are adorable when they realize they don't have a tail to chase, so they chase their siblings tails...that is if their siblings have a tail. I had a cat give birth to three kittens. One had no tail, bumb or stump. The other had a stump. The third had a full length tail.

@GorrillyGirl It's legal in the US for a vet to spay a pregnant cat. I use to catch cats to take in for spaying and one was pregnant. I took the time to tame her and then gave away the kittens. But sometimes that isn't possible. It's so much more expensive to spay a pregnant cat.

I was beginning to worry about the 3rd one. The mom had already eaten part of the umbilical cord so the pup wasn't getting any oxygen. His/her movements seemed frantic and then slowed down. I was afraid it was dying. I've assisted in cat birthings but never saw any of them do that.
