Another year close to it's end. It seems time passes so astonishingly fast,it's scary. I worry about the state of the world in which we live,wondering how much longer it can last. The abuse is harsh and only gets worse. My confusion about human nature grows,we say we want peace,yet fight it with every breath.Prejudiced judgements made daily without notice. We play games with each other thinking this will all last forever. It won't. Love is all that matters,love of this planet and every species we share it with. Blind love for each other,understanding and respect.I know it will never happen,yet hope is all we have.
11/7/2010-Thinking about the color of my skin,honey brown with a hint of a reddish gold glow,perfect. I'm an African American woman with British West Indian genetics. The pains of my past do NOT define me. I did NOT accept the bitterness that came with them. My heart is open,spirit free.I am intelligent, I am love. Black women we ARE powerful,do not be ashamed or afraid of what you are,accept it,refine it. BECOME YOURSELF.

Thinking about relationships,why so easy for some,so difficult for others? Wondering deep down if it's me,some deep seated psychological fear.I will tell you when a girl lacks a father figure it makes her every attempt at a relationship difficult because she has no idea of what unconditional love should feel like. It's strange to say the least. I do believe there's that perfect fit for each person,maybe the choices we make good or bad can bring that person closer or push them farther away.
8/7/2010-Thinking about black men. I love my men.( I'm not bashing any other race,beautiful men come in all shades.) Black men amaze me,I can see why they are so desired. Their beauty,intelligence and strength,the strength they haven't even tapped into yet. Their natural swagger and sex appeal. The powerful passion they possess,need I say more?

I've been thinking long and hard about the lack of positive communication between black men and women lately. I'm feeling like black women have been misrepresented in the media on purpose. They only show us in a certain light most of the time. So that leads me in the direction of a Willie Lynch theory-maybe we've been portrayed that way to cause division which then causes racial weakness. Black women and men would be too strong if we came together. The powers that be have succeeded,what will WE do about it?

I would always wonder what it meant when it was said that you must love yourself before you can love another or attract love. I understand now. We aren't whole beings until we understand that our Creator didn't create anything that isn't deserving of love and admiration. It's funny that we can see beauty in flaws until we look at ourselves.

Just thinking,I've wasted so much time in my life worried about foolishness. Wondering why relationships don't work,why friendships don't work. Why life happens the way it does. It's exhausting and I really believe there are no "good" answers. All we can do is love ourselves(flaws and all,perfection is non-existant), and be the best person we can be. We should strive to be loving towards all. I know it's not easy,but I believe it brings peace,just as negativity brings unrest.

I don't usually voice my opinion here but I have to say what I feel. I feel that in todays multicultural society the black woman is basically disregarded. I don't know if it is from fear ,disdain or both. I think that when other races notice that even our own men don't want us,that carries over. It's terribly sad and frightening.
What I know for sure is that not all black women are confrontational,neck rolling,loud, violent and ignorant. I think that is being used as an excuse.
If the black woman is considered overly strong or forceful it is because she was forced into that position because of what she has had to endure over time.
I know she is strong,beautiful and sensual, smart and loyal and an unbelieveable mother.
She is completely deserving of love and respect. I pray it's not too late-peace.
