This video is of a small demonstration featuring the Kung Fu Heroes of South Coast Martial Arts and our friend Sal Redner of Wushu Shaolin Productions. The performance was a unique opportunity to introduce elementary school students to the positive activities that exist such as Martial Arts and Acrobatic training. The story in this trailer is loosely based on one of my real life adventures! :D All the footage is from my actual ESL class at AEC during the Summer of 2010. The date this was filmed was August 12 of that year in Monterey Park, California, USA. Thus, that was the date I used in the trailer. :)
I made this trailer just for fun in January of 2012. I wanted to use the footage I had of that memorable summer in a video somehow. Then it hit me, a movie trailer! :D However, it was VERY hard choosing which scenes to add, as I had almost 8 minutes worth of fun footage!
For the record, my students were actually very well behaved. This was filmed during the last week, and we were having fun cleaning up the class room. I simply edited it in a way that conveys chaos, haha...
I wish I filmed much more, because not all my students were here that day. :( I should have brought my camcorder to class more often. I also couldn't credit everyone who appears in the video because the iMovie trailer template was set to credit four people. So if my students are watching and you weren't mentioned, please forgive me. Maybe I'll make another one! :) I will give you credit here though!!!
