Despite what you've heard in the media, there is but one Islam, a singular correct view of Muhammad, Allah, and Jihad.

It is the one printed in the Qur'an and Hadith. There is no independent record of Muhammad in history from which a variant view may be drawn.

The Hadith and Qur'an are the sole repository of information on this man, his times, means, and mission. The Muhammad of Islam, the god of Islam, and the religion of Islam must be as these sources present them.

Islam has no alibi, no reason to cry, "Unfair." The Qur'an condemns all NON-Muslims, Christians and Jews as well as those who worship many gods and no gods. It is an equal opportunity hater. Its attitude toward unbelieving infidels is overwhelmingly hostile.

A cursory reading of the first ten surahs is sufficient to prove that the relatively few nice verses were contradicted and replaced, "abrogated" in Muslim parlance, by a staggering number of nasty ones. In fact, the Qur'an was written to justify some of the most ungodly behavior the world has ever known.

Spiritual, not overly religious. I respect Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, Taoists.

In regards to Islam, it's more a political ideology that controls every single aspect of one's life with no freedom of thought. Any "god" who would advocate destruction of one of its creations is not a god at all. Mohammed and Allah are one and the same. Mohammed changed the rules of Islam to suit his bidding, nothing more.

No sane person would even contemplate uttering the following words. Muhammad's willingness to satiate his carnal desires by attributing them to God takes us beyond depravity.

The Qur'an claims that Muhammad could have as many wives as he wanted. He can have sex with prisoners, cousins, nieces, and captives.

We have made lawful to you all the wives to whom you have paid dowers [with stolen property]; and those whom your hands possess out of the prisoners of war spoils whom Allah has assigned to you; and daughters of your paternal uncles and aunts, and daughters of your maternal uncles and aunts, who migrated with you; and any believing woman who dedicates her soul to the Prophet if the Prophet wishes her; this is a privilege for you only, and not for the rest of the Believers; We know what We have appointed for them as to their wives and the captives whom they possess; in order that there should be no difficulty for you and that you should be free from blame."
