I am a Japanese American otaku since I was a young kid and got to watch my Mom's Japanese shows which had some old anime shows like "Astro boy", "Battleship Yamato", etc., but before subtitles or subbings but I loved my anime shows even when I didn't understand what they were saying in Japanese...^^
