Its possible to use stock streamlines too, but they are so inconsistent and inaccurate (the ranges vary too much and the shots just fly all over the place) that they can never be relied upon for actual Nerf games or range tests.
The Longstrike is a reverse plunger blaster with very small air volume, hence it is naturally limited in its modding potential and its not possible for it to achieve the same ranges as Stampedes or Longshots even with equivalent mods done.
Barrel attachments in stock Nerf blasters are usually for show, just to make a blaster look nicer. :)
18V battery sources would probably be too high to use reliably in the Barricade's stock motors, you can try though, but even if it works the motor lifespan will be greatly reduced.
To add the slam-fire feature into Recons, you can try out the modding techniques in this guide: http://crazyfornerf.com/2011/0
1)Do you have any idea how can i destroy dead space?
2)What does barrel attachment do? Is it only reduce distance?
3)If I use 18V battery for Barricade can i damage flywheels?
4)Is there any way to make recon slam fire?
