About Me:
I like to be known as the "sexy professor" online, however with my students, I am very no-nonsense. My educational background is as follows:
- BA in Spanish, University of Texas
- MA in Spanish with an Emphasis in College Teaching, Texas A&M University
- Ed.D in Higher Education; Supervision, Curriculum and Instruction, Texas A&M University
My philosophy on education has always been a simple one. "In and by administering knowledge to others, you also take something away fron the learning experience yourself. The rewards and benefits are two-fold."
I have worked in the field of higher education for more than twenty years and have held the positions of graduate teaching assistant, lecturer, senior lecturer and assistant professor. To date, I've written a combined ten research grants (four student and six faculty) been an adjunct professor at more than four institutions including the TVCC-TDCJ (prison inmate) system, and was recently TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certified. My ultimate career goal is to be Chair of the Department of Foreign Languages and to eventually retire at full professor emeritus.
Aside from academics, I'm happily unmarried with no children, love animals, adult novelty and a number of varied genres of music; obviously one of them being Michael Jackson.

YouTube Letter of Resignation:
My fellow members,
As most of you are aware, YouTube will be permanently changing its channel format effective March 7, 2012. Not only am I in 100% disagreement with the (hideous) new alteration of channel format, more importantly, I am in total disagreement with YouTube's constant and continuous decision to make erratic and unnecessary changes without any regard or consideration for the thoughts/opinions its members.
That said, after several days of deliberation, I've decided that after YouTube makes its changes to channel format (March 7, 2012) I will be closing this account and my alternate account: TheAlternative1000.

Keep in mind that this wasn't a decision I came to lightly, as I have thouroughly enjoyed my three year "tenure" on YouTube. But no one should be placed into a position where they are forced to "like" or accept certain changes without even the courtesy of being asked their genuine consent - online or otherwise.
Nevertheless, let us all remember that with every sunset, there follows a new dawn. This is a new beginning. I encourage you to pursue your dreams and aspirations against all odds. Together, we can change the world!
